1. Briefly describe your current position, research focus, and your role within MCQST.
I am researching quantum hybrid systems, which touches the areas of quantum sensing and quantum materials. Practically, we investigate spin systems, magnetic systems, mechanical elements, and microwave circuits and let them interact to enable novel functionalities.
2. Could you please describe more your role as a group leader?
As a group leader, I wear many hats. I try to support, encourage and teach students as best as I can while simultaneously managing all the little and larger things to keep the ball rolling. My treat: Spending some time with students in the lab to discuss and explore physics.

3. What are you looking forward to over the holidays?
Enjoying the snow with the family and trying to teach my little one how to sleigh.
