Venue
The NOEKS16 takes place on-site with no online-participation in the monastery Frauenwoerth. The monastery is located on the island “Frauenchiemsee” in the Chiemsee lake, which is about 85 km from the Munich city center and about 100 km from the Munich airport.
Accommodation
All participants of NOEKS16 are accommodated in the monastery for the duration of the conference, from September 17th to September 20th, 2023. The participation fee covers the cost of accommodations and full board (including breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Oktoberfest
The conference takes place from September 17th to 20th, 2023. Please note that during this time, the 188th Oktoberfest happens to take place as well. The conference participants might want to combine their participation to the NOEKS16 with a visit of the October festival before or after the NOEKS16 on their own expenses and arrangements.
Please be aware that the airfare might be more expensive to and from Munich because of the Oktoberfest. Equally, hotel rooms in Munich typically are rare and expensive during that time. Therefore, we recommend to arrange your travel well in advance.
