Quantum Fridays in the PhotonLab
Are you interested in quantum physics but not sure where to start? You are invited to book a visit at the PhotonLab!
Here, after a brief introduction, you can dive in and experiment yourself, gaining a clear understanding of quantum physics phenomena. You’ll also have the chance to witness the creation of real single photons in a demonstration experiment. Plus, the laboratory'a team will show you how quantum physics phenomena are used to develop new technologies like quantum computers.
This initiative is part of a series of events within the Quanten(t)räume project, where PhotonLab, MCQST, and many other partners collaborate to share quantum science with the broader public through various formats and channels. Recommended for all quantum enthusiasts from 14 years.

About the PhotonLab
The PhotonLab is a laser laboratory specifically designed for high-school students and is located at MPQ. Since 2011, it has been a focal point for anyone who wants to learn about light and it was created to show that optics and photonics is fun. Over 22.000 visitors have already taken the opportunity to learn and experiment in the lab. Since 2019, MCQST is actively supporting and co-funding the laboratory's activties.
